About Us
Our philosophy
Biological Sciences Program focuses on the strategies for human resource development, providing future leaders in teaching and conducting research. Our program supports prospective graduate students who will become experts in biological research and have ethical merits. Additionally, we hope to contribute novel findings at the international level, notably in physiology, ecology, taxonomy and systematics, botany, genetics, and molecular cell biology, through high-quality and widely-accepted publications. Ultimately, our program hopes to improve students’ knowledge transfer skills through teaching demonstrations, scientific publications, and the integration of new knowledge that offers solutions to current global issues (i.e., emerging infectious diseases, food and energy security) and the environmental problems (i.e., biodiversity loss, climate change, global warming) following the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Bio-Circular-Green Economic Model (BCG).
Why BioSci CU?
Biological Sciences is a branch of science studying living organisms via scientific processes at the molecular and cellular levels to ecosystem and biome levels based on various aspects, including physiology, ecology, taxonomy and systematics, biodiversity, evolution, botany, genetics, and molecular cell biology. Therefore, Biological Science will lead to technology and innovation applicable to agricultural practices, public health, and industry.
Future career: teacher/lecturer in Biological Sciences; researcher; entrepreneur; expert in science, conservation and environment
Objectives of program
To contribute doctoral graduate students who are experts in teaching and conducting research that will solve problems using scientific methodologies, be able to apply their knowledge in the public and private sectors, apply their expertise in entrepreneurship, and have ethical merits in research and global society.
To convey knowledge through research publications in reputable international journals by integrating multidisciplinary research and development into novel findings that can improve the development or boost the competitive capacity of the nation using the 13 national strategies and contribute to society and the globe.
